Cincinati Zoo

The fourth sibling to Widsom, Courage and Legend of Toledo Zoo is a female named Gracious, remains in Cincinnati with their mother, Prosperity, and father, Sunshine. Prosperity, the official mascot of the United States Senate, was born at the Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat, while Sunshine comes from Germany. Both Prosperity and Sunshine were loaned to the Cincinnati Zoo in 1998.

Toledo Zoo

Siegfried & Roy have loaned three male Magical White Lions - Wisdom, Courage and Legend - to the Toledo Zoo. Wisdom, Courage and Legend are part of a litter of four born on April 1, 2001, at the Cincinnati Zoo.

White Lion visits Colorado Zoo

May 2005 - 2 year old white male Matunde and his tawny coloured brother Zakera were summer guests at Cheyenne Mountan Zoo in Colorado Springs, USA. Zakera is a hetrozygous lion, a normal coloured animal who carries the recessive gene for white colouration. A hetrozygous tawny lion can pass on the white gene to his offspring.

Philadelphia Zoo

Jezebel was born at the Johannesburg Zoo, South Africa on July 10, 1991. The zoo also has her two tawny litter mates, Merlin and Zenda. Vinkel was born on July 12, 1991, also at Johannesburg Zoo.

Vinkel had a cub, Tandi in 1994.

Gandor, Zion Wildlife Gardens, New Zealand

Gandor, arrived at Zion mid-2004 along with his good friend Shikira (a tawny Barbary lioness). He's now been joined by Laduma, Amafu and Imvula - three more white lions.

Seven white cubs born in Germany

30 June 2008 - seven white lion cubs were born to two white lionesses at the zoo in the German town of Schloss Holte-Stukenbrock.

One cub died at birth but mother Kibo was taking care of the remaining three.

Mawenski, the other mother, rejected her cubs and they are being hand reared.

There were four males and three females born.

Four white cubs for French zoo

20 May 2007 - four white lions were born in a zoo in Western France. The litter consisted of 1 male and three female cubs. They were born to Nyala who failed to take to the cubs so they are being hand reared. These cubs subsequently died on 4 June 2007.
