First White Lions at Mogo


On 4 October 2004 (World Animal Day) Mogo Zoo released from quarantine its white lion cubs - the only Zoo in Australia to exhibit white lions. They were bought over from Johannesburg Zoo as part of an international breeding program. They are Magigwana (Tim) (m) - name means Great Lion Warrior, Nkungwe (Bella) (f) - name means Mist and Jubulani (Snow) (f) - name means Happiness.
